Big Tree Qigong with Greener in Greenhill

The Beech Tree, Hemper Lane

Saturday 13th September 10-11am

Join us for a gentle “meditation in motion” — flowing movements, mindful breath, and the calming energy of nature.

Qigong, which means “energy work”, is a beautiful practice for nurturing health, balance, and emotional wellbeing. Often described as a meditation in motion, Qigong brings together gentle, flowing movements with mindful breathing and awareness.

We’ll gather beneath the big Sycamore tree in Stone Cross Field, connecting with the energy of the tree and the nature surrounding us. In Qigong, the Wood element represents growth, fresh perspectives, and new beginnings — so this session is designed to gently awaken your body, clear your mind, and leave you feeling refreshed and uplifted.

Your guide, Hannah, brings her lived experience as a full-time wheelchair user with a Spinal Cord Injury. Through her own daily practice of Yoga and Qigong, she has created soothing yet energising sequences that blend traditional movements with modern flow, inviting you into a meditative space to unwind, restore, and reconnect.

🌳This is a welcoming, all-abilities class — perfect for beginners.
🌳The practice will be taught seated, but you’re free to join in seated (bring your own chair or use the stone benches under the tree) or standing.
🌳Under 18s are welcome with a responsible adult.

If you have a health condition or disability that may affect your practice, simply let Hannah know — she will be glad to adapt the class so you can enjoy it fully.

Hope to see you there! Excited for our first outdoor session, let’s hope for good weather!
